Until when am I protected from pregnancy if I no longer use birth control pills?
Hey! I switch from birth control pills to a non-hormonal IUD as soon as the pill pack is finished and bleeding occurs. If on the 24th day of taking active tablets, and exactly at 14.00 I took a tablet and at 16 of the same day I had intercourse, will bleeding occur? Today is the first day of placebo and I'm not sure if because I don't start a new package I was protected at that time and fertilization cannot happen even a day after intercourse, i.e. when I do not take these active pills. Krwawienie pojawi się tak jak dotychczas, czyli w trakcie przerwy na krwawienie. Jeśli do stosunku doszło w 24 dniu brania tabletek, była Pani chroniona. Ochrona jest zachowana także w czasie przerwy na krwawienie z odstawienia - czyli w trakcie stosowania placebo.
Nie będzie Pani chroniona dopiero wówczas, gdy zakończy Pani stosowanie tabletek z aktualnego blistra i nie będzie Pani kontynuowała tabletek z kolejnego opakowania - czyli de facto zakończy Pani stosowanie antykoncepcji hormonalnej.
