Could the puck have paused my period?

Hi I put on after half a year break nuvaring tap, I waited for a period and it was supposed to be on Monday, I began to feel these sore lower abdomen, it started to be pink. I thought it was the 1st day of the period. I put a krazek but tomorrow is Thursday and I did not get a period. I'm certainly not pregnant. I didn't write down the calendar when I should get the period exactly. Could the crayat have stopped the period? In this case, however, how long does contraception not appear work?
