Can diarrhea a dozen hours after taking a birth control pill reduce its effectiveness?
If I took the tablets at 21 (my fixed time) on 18 July and i had diarrhoea during the day on 19 July but took the tablets in the evening, do I have to take extra protection for days to come or does this not reduce the effectiveness of the tablets in the following days?

Zmniejszenie skuteczności antykoncepcyjnej preparatu mogłoby nastąpić, gdyby biegunka wystąpiła po mniej niż 3-4 h od zażycia tabletki. W Pani przypadku minęło kilkanaście godzin do momentu biegunki. Jeżeli po przyjęciu kolejnej tabletki biegunka nie wystąpiła to nie ma potrzeby stosowania dodatkowej metody antykoncepcji lub przyjmowania dodatkowych tabletek. Wystąpienie biegunki po więcej niż 3-4 h od zażycia tabletki nie wpływa na skuteczność antykoncepcyjną preparatów.
