What should I do if I started using birth control pills on the 2nd day of the cycle and completely missed the tablet from 1 week?
hello, I use hormonal contraception in the form of 21 active tablets + 7 placebo. In my head, the question arises whether if the first pack started on the 2nd day of menstruation (I know that it is necessary to protect myself for the next 7 days with a condom) and in this first week there was a complete omission of one tablet- not taking it. It is understood that you are not protected, is there any difference in cycle, additional protection when the start of the package took place on the 2nd day of menstruation or on the 1st day?

Jeśli rozpoczęła Pani stosowanie leku w 2 dniu cyklu i dodatkowo w pierwszym tygodniu całkowicie pominęła tabletkę, to ochrona przed ciążą może być osłabiona nawet po upływie 7 dni, dlatego proponowałabym zastosować prezerwatywę dłużej - najlepiej do końca pierwszego blistra, gdyż jak wspomniałam - wykształcenie się pełnej ochrony po 7 dniach może być wątpliwe.
Gdyby Pani rozpoczęła stosowanie leku w 1 dniu cyklu, prezerwatywę proponowałabym stosować przez 7 dni.
