Tabletki antykoncepcyjne wchłaniają się maksymalnie po upływie 4 godzin od przyjęcia. Wymioty 23 godziny po przyjęciu pigułki nie wpływają na skuteczność antykoncepcji, bowiem pigułki od dawna nie ma już w przewodzie pokarmowym:
