Why is Ibuprofen Hasco prescription? Is it different from Ibuprom?

I would like to ask why ibuprofen hasco 200mg is only available on prescription, and already ibuprom sprint can be purchased at almost any supermarket without a prescription. Is there any particular difference between the two drugs?

Ibuprofen Hasco 200 mg from Ibuprom Sprint differs in the method of registration. Drugs also differ in the content of excipients and the number of capsules in the package. Ibuprofen Hasco 200 mg has been authorised as a prescription medicine. In addition to ibuprofen at a dose of 200 mg in the composition of the drug Ibuprofen Hasco is macrogol 400, potassium hydroxide, gelatin, partially dehydrated liquid sorbitol, purified water, quinoline yellow, patent blue. It contains 60 capsules: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/37103/ibuprofen-hasco-kapsulki/apteki Ibuprom Sprint has been registered as an over-the-counter medicine. In addition to ibuprofen at a dose of 200 mg, the composition of the drug Ibuprom Sprint is macrogol 600, potassium hydroxide, purified water, gelatin, partially dehydrated liquid sorbitol, patent blue V. The drug is available in packs of 10 and 24 capsules: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/92510/ibuprom-sprint-kapsulki/apteki In pharmacies, preparations registered as prescription and their over-the-counter equivalents are often available. Usually, prescription preparations are cheaper per 1 piece, e.g. capsules. It happens that over-the-counter drugs are available only in lower doses of the active substance or only in small packages.

User questions and answers that provide feedback about products are not verified for the purchase or use of the product. Companies often order anonymous comments to form positive opinions about their products, or negative ones about competitors. Therefore, be guided by the information in the pharmacists' responses in the first place.
