In addition, the dose of 50 mg is definitely incorrect and potentially dangerous — standard doses are many times lower (0.5-1 mg).
With long-term insomnia, a medical consultation is necessary, preferably with a family doctor or psychiatrist, to choose a safe and effective treatment and rule out the cause of the problem. Drugs such as Zopiclone or Zolpidem should also be used in the short term and under control.
Until the visit, it is worth taking care of sleep hygiene (fixed hours, limiting screens, avoiding caffeine in the evening). If insomnia has been going on for several weeks, this should not be underestimated – it requires professional evaluation and treatment.
