Theraflu sinus is a combination drug containing paracetamol and phenylephrine. Phenylephrine constricts blood vessels, reduces swelling of the nasal and sinus mucosa (facilitates breathing). It should not be used in patients under 12 years of age due to the (higher in this age group) possibility of causing adverse reactions from the nervous system (insomnia, irritability, nervousness). If your child is about to turn 12, you may want to consider taking the medicine. The dose of paracetamol in Theraflu sinus is suitable for a patient weighing 60 kg.
