Does a sudden increase in pain despite the use of Duloxetine 30 mg require a change in treatment?

I have been taking Duloxetine 30mg for 4 months, because of mild depression and severe pain in spinal canal stenosis. So far, the drug has helped me well. For a few days now, the pain has suddenly intensified, every movement becomes a challenge. Now I don't know how to proceed.

Duloxetine helps with neuropathic pain, but with narrowing of the spinal canal, the pain may periodically worsen due to the progression of changes or nerve irritation. If the drug has worked well so far, and the pain has suddenly increased, it is worth contacting a doctor – you may need to adjust the dose (often the target is 60 mg) or add another painkiller.

Do not increase the dose yourself. An anti-inflammatory drug can be considered on an ad hoc basis if there are no contraindications (e.g. stomach, kidney, heart disease), but preferably after consultation.
