The use of two preparations from the group of opioid drugs at the same time (tramadol and codeine) increases the risk of serious side effects, e.g. seizures, respiratory failure, coma or even death. In addition, the simultaneous use of both drugs may increase the risk of kidney problems or cause excessive sedation, drowsiness or dizziness.
