In the first package, contraceptive protection builds up gradually, so intercourse on the 3rd and 4th day of taking the pills took place without full protection.
Skipping a pill on day 7 additionally weakens it slightly, although making up by midnight reduces the risk.
Pregnancy is unlikely, but it cannot be completely ruled out. In this situation, please continue to take the pills regularly and take a pregnancy test about 10 days after intercourse to be sure.
In this situation, emergency contraception may be considered if a sufficiently short time has passed since intercourse (e.g. EllaOne (ulipristal acetate) – can be used up to 120 hours - 5 days after intercourse).
