GABA is usually used in doses of 250–750 mg per day, preferably in the evening, as it can cause slight drowsiness. There is no evidence that GABA reduces the effectiveness of oral contraceptives such as Belara.
Magnesium citrate is safe for contraception and is usually used in doses of 200–400 mg per day, preferably in the evening or between meals if you have stomach problems.
