Hello, does aronia have an effect on birth control pills? I have come across various information that it has a strong effect on the CYP3A4 enzyme and can weaken the effect, I do not know how to understand it, please explain.

You can drink 100% fruit juices while taking birth control pills. They do not affect the effectiveness of the therapy.
And can I drink 100% juices while taking birth control pills? With carrots and mangoes in large quantities?? Will this reduce the effectiveness of the protection?
Thank you very much for your reply :)

Aronia is not known to interact significantly with birth control pills.
Indeed, laboratory studies have shown that some plant substances can affect the CYP3A4 enzyme, which participates in hormone metabolism, but aronia has not been considered a risk in this regard.
The greatest risk of weakening the effectiveness of contraception concerns preparations such as St. John's wort, not chokeberry. You can safely consume aronia in the form of fruit or juice – there is no evidence that it has a negative effect on the effect of contraceptive pills.
