Can I change Silodosin to another medicine because it makes me dizzy and tachycardia?

Good morning I take avodart and silodosin in the evening only silodosin is creating problems of dizziness and tachycardia . At this time I have suspended the silodosin for a few days taking only avodart. I wanted to ask you if I can switch to another drug as a substitute for silodosin. Thank you

Silodosin may cause side effects such as dizziness and increased heart rate, especially at the beginning of treatment or when changing body position.

In such a situation, it is worth consulting a doctor, who may consider changing the drug to another alpha-blocker, such as tamsulosin or doxazosin, which may be better tolerated. Changing the medication on your own is not recommended — the decision should be made after assessing your health condition and possible contraindications. We wrote more about it here:
