Hi.
I use Implanon Nxt as a contraception.
I take supplements. I take calcium (vitamin D added to calcium) and iron.
Can supplements (calcium, iron, vitamin D) reduce the contraceptive efficacy of Implanon Nxt?
I also use VICHY Dercos Aminexil ampoules for hair loss. Can the use of these ampoules reduce the contraceptive effectiveness of Implanon Nxt? I also use Dercos Aminexil shampoo. I am concerned about the effect of Aminexil on the effectiveness of my Implanon Nxt. Do I have reason to worry?

As I mentioned in the previous post – iron, calcium and D3 do not affect the effectiveness of the implant. More here:
Shampoo or ampoules have a local effect on the skin, they are not absorbed into the general circulation or are absorbed to a very small extent, so there is no risk of interaction with oral drugs or subcutaneous implants. There is no need to worry, the effectiveness of the implant is maintained.
Aminexil is not absorbed into the systemic circulation, it acts within the hair follicles, hence there is no risk of interaction with drugs, including the implant.
