Good evening,
I was applying Perskindol gel on my back and I have the impression that the fumes from it ended up in my mouth, and an hour earlier I took a combined contraceptive pill. I don't know, maybe I rubbed some gel into my mouth unintentionally that I felt it that way. I rinsed my mouth with water. could it lower contraception? I know it's an unusual question, but given the composition, can you deduce something? This was the last active pill in the blister. Is it better to shorten the break?

Perskindole has a local effect, it is absorbed into the general circulation in a negligible amount, therefore it does not interact with drugs taken orally. It will not reduce the effectiveness of hormonal contraception.
The preparation contains essential oils, so when applied to a large area of the body, you can get the impression that it "evaporates" into the mouth. However, this does not affect the effectiveness of the contraception you are using in any way.
Protection is maintained. Subsequent tablets should be taken in the same way as before. Do not shorten the bleeding interval, etc.

And maybe just using this gel on the back (a large area) about 2/3 times a day will reduce the protection in itself?
