In such a situation, I encourage you to consult your doctor, as the appropriate decision should be made under the supervision of a specialist.

In general, a bacterial etiology of the infection should be ruled out before discontinuing the antibiotic, and it is difficult to judge from such a brief description. If an antibiotic is administered, it is important to follow your doctor's instructions regarding dosage and duration of treatment. Discontinuing an antibiotic without consulting a doctor can lead to ineffective treatment or complications.

As for hallucinations, they are not a typical side effect of the antibiotic Amotaks. If you are concerned about hallucinations or other unusual symptoms after an antibiotic, it is recommended that you consult your doctor to get appropriate medical care for your child. It is worth remembering that any unusual symptoms should be discussed with a doctor to determine further treatment.

Please remember that side effects of medications should be reported to your doctor or individually. By reporting side effects, you help other patients, including your relatives, who may also need the same medication in the future. This step also allows us to gather more information on the safety of medicinal products and to keep their data up to date. I encourage you to report an adverse reaction if you haven't already done so: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-i-dlaczego-zglaszac-dzialania-niepozadane
