Can belching when drinking water cause malabsorption of the contraceptive pill Liberelle?
9.99 zł

Good morning, yesterday I took the contraceptive pill Liberella at 17:10. A little before 11 p.m., while drinking water, I belched and then a small amount of it backed up my throat, but without a gag reflex, so I swallowed it back. Before, while drinking, I also bounced a few times, but without backing up the fluid down my throat. Could this situation have impaired the absorption of the tablets and reduced their effectiveness?

No, this will not affect the absorption of the contraceptive pill and will not reduce its effectiveness. After 6 hours from the moment of taking the medicine, the tablet is in a much further stage of the gastrointestinal tract, so you can rest assured.

On our website you can check the availability of the medicine and make a reservation at the pharmacy:
