Belara tablets can be discontinued at any time. If you go back to taking this medicine, follow the instructions in the package leaflet:
"The first film-coated tablet should be taken on the 1st day of the normal menstrual cycle, i.e. on the first day of menstruation. If the first film-coated tablet is taken on the first day of the cycle, contraceptive protection is in place on the first day after taking the film-coated tablet and lasts for a seven-day break from taking the tablets. You can also take your first film-coated tablet between day 2 and day 5 of your period, regardless of whether your withdrawal bleeding has ended or is still ongoing. In this case, additional barrier contraceptive methods should be used within the first 7 days of taking the pill."
