According to the Summary of Product Characteristics, the medicinal product should be administered alternately into the left or right anterolateral or posterolateral part of the abdominal wall.
Administration of enoxaparin in the buttock instead of the abdomen is possible and often practiced if the patient prefers that site or if there are other medical or personal reasons why injection into the buttock is more appropriate. As a rule, however, it is better to follow the instructions in the leaflet when it comes to the dosage of the drug.
