Can the drug seronil 10 mg, taken half a tablet in the morning, be replaced overnight with the drug symfaxin xr 37.5 mg, because I do not feel calm after seronil. And is it possible to go back to seronil if the new one turns out to be more wrong???

Changing the medication should be done under the supervision of a doctor. Seronil persists in the body for up to several weeks after discontinuation of use. Administration of another serotonin-increasing drug during this period may cause symptoms of serotonin syndrome (symptoms: confusion, increased temperature, impaired consciousness, muscle stiffness). Stopping (or changing) antidepressants is a fairly lengthy process, requiring a gradual reduction in dose. If anxiety is a problem, your doctor may consider introducing an additional tranquilizer (if he or she thinks it is really necessary). It is worth remembering that the improvement of well-being may occur only after a few weeks of Seronil treatment, and only the lack of improvement after 10 weeks is an indication to consider changing the treatment.
