A dose of 12.5mg of doxylamine (Dorminox) is the recommended starting dose of the drug. The maximum daily dose is 25 mg. The feeling of whether a drug is "strong" is subjective, for one person a dose of 12.5 mg may seem high, for another it is insufficient.
