Hello. I'm writing about a rather unusual case, because after ovulation I took the Escapelle pill and I read a bit on the internet that it is not effective then. Should I be afraid?

The mechanism of action of Escapelle tablets is as follows:
- inhibition of the release of egg by the ovaries;
- preventing fertilization of an already released egg (e.g. as a result of a change in the endometrium, thickening of mucus in the genital tract)
Given this information and the fact that Escapelle will not work on a fertilised cell that has implanted in the uterus, there is a risk that the effectiveness of the medicine will be limited if the intercourse takes place just after ovulation. On the other hand, if intercourse took place a few days later (after ovulation), then you no longer needed to take Escapelle.
