I'm afraid of taking Skudexa, are there any contraindications to taking so many medications?

I take medication on a regular basis:
Euthyrox 112mg for thyroid Lirra Gem for Allergy Metformax 1000mg 3x1 per day Stediril contraception Melatonin 1mg for sleep. My GP prescribed Mydocalm Forte 2x1 a day and Skudexa 2x1 a day for terrible back and hip pain. I'm afraid of taking Skudexa, are there any contraindications to taking so many medications? The second question is, should I really take Skudexa and Mydocalm together in the morning and evening?

I understand your concerns. If in doubt, I encourage you to consult your doctor again. It is the doctor who decides on the possible treatment of the patient, m.in. on the basis of the patient's medical history and previous response to treatment. Only the doctor can decide whether to change the pharmacotherapy. If you do not have the opportunity to consult your doctor, you can use the teleconsultation here:

According to the current medical literature, interactions between these preparations are rare.

Keep in mind that the more medications you take, the greater the risk of adverse interactions. Taking two medications at the same time poses a risk of adverse interactions of 13-14 percent. If a patient takes 8 to 10 medications at the same time, it is almost certain that there will be interactions between them and that there will be interactions that negatively affect the patient's health. This problem is especially true for the elderly, who are being treated for several diseases at the same time.

As far as dosage is concerned, please follow the information given to you by your doctor. As a pharmacist, I can only give you general information:

Skudexa: the most commonly recommended dosage is 1 tabl./day. If the pain is extremely severe, it is allowed to use the drug more often. The maximum daily dose is 3 tabl. with a minimum of 8 hours of break between each of them.

Mydocalm Forte: the recommended dosage is 1 tabl. 3 times a day, as directed by your doctor. The preparation should be taken after meals with a glass of water.
