Can there be serious health effects if I stop taking Elicea on my own?

Discontinuation of Elicea (especially suddenly) often leads to withdrawal symptoms.
The most commonly reported reactions are dizziness, sensory disturbances, sleep disturbances, agitation or restlessness, nausea and/or vomiting, tremor, confusion, excessive sweating, headache, diarrhoea, palpitations, emotional instability, irritability and visual disturbances.

In general, these symptoms are mild to moderate in severity and resolve spontaneously, although in some patients they may be severe and/or persist for a longer period of time. In the event that the use of Elicea is no longer required, it is recommended that the dose be reduced gradually until the product is discontinued.

Please note that Elicea is obtained with a prescription and should be used exactly as prescribed.

If you have experienced side effects, you should report them to your doctor, who will make a possible decision to change the dosage or change the medicine.

It is not advisable to regulate the dosage yourself or decide not to take the drug altogether, as this may have consequences in the form of increased side effects. There are a number of medications that should be discontinued gradually, not suddenly.
