Good morning, can I get an e-prescription for hormonal contraception at 17 without my parents knowing? I would like to take contraception and be able to make my own decisions about my body, health and protect myself from unwanted pregnancy. My parents are very specific, and when I asked about contraception, they said that I was making it up and that I didn't need it, despite my requests.

A patient who is over 16 years of age can make her own decisions about her health. However, the consent of a parent or legal guardian is necessary to conduct the test. During the visit, the teenager should receive information about her health condition – simply and understandably.
Unfortunately, according to current law, the consent of a parent or guardian will be necessary.
