Is mid-cycle bleeding a cause for concern after one year of using Liberelle?

Good morning. I've been taking liberelle for about a year now and everything has been fine so far and now the irregular mid-cycle bleeding has started. No pill was missed and not taken more than 12 hours late. Once it was taken about 3 hours earlier. Is this a cause for concern or contact with a gynecologist?

Spotting and mid-cycle bleeding are common side effects of hormonal contraception, which can occur not only at the beginning of use, but also after a longer period of time, e.g. as a result of illness or excessive stress. Usually, this is not a cause for concern. If the pills are used as prescribed, contraceptive protection is maintained. If spotting persists, it is worth visiting a gynecologist to rule out non-hormonal causes.
