Escitalopram (the active substance in Mozarin) is an antidepressant called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), while acetylsalicylic acid (Acard) inhibits the clumping (aggregation) of platelets. The drug is intended for long-term, prophylactic use in diseases that threaten the formation of blood clots and embolisms in blood vessels. A review of the literature does not show significant pharmacokinetic interactions between escitalopram and acetylsalicylic acid. This means that they can usually be used simultaneously without much concern.
