If I've been taking Depo-provera for a long time, can I miss my period?

I have a question if for how long I have been taking. Depoprovera injections, hormonal injections, or if the last injection I took on July 3, and I should have taken it on October 2, I didn't take it because I felt bad after them, so I ask if if I took this drug for a long time, can I miss my period

To @Paula:

The result of a pregnancy test depends on a number of factors, including when and exactly how the test was performed, as well as your individual body conditions.

A negative test result usually suggests that the presence of the hormone hCG (chorionic gonadotropin), which is present in a woman's body in the event of pregnancy, has not been detected. However, if the test was taken too early (for example, before your period was delayed), it could lead to a false negative result.

It's also worth noting that there are other factors that can affect the regularity of your menstrual cycle, such as stress, hormonal changes, illnesses, or taking certain medications. If the delay in menstruation persists, it is worth consulting a doctor, who may order additional tests and assess the situation.

If it is not possible to visit the site, I encourage you to take advantage of the teleconsultation via e.g. the Gdziepolek.pl portal:

Depo-Provera contraceptive injections contain synthetic progesterone and are given every 3 months. After stopping injections, especially after long-term use, it may take some time for the body to restore the natural menstrual cycle.

If you received your last injection on 3 July, your menstrual cycle may be affected. Failure to take the next dose may result in cycle irregularities as well as mid-cycle bleeding. The time it takes for the body to return to a regular cycle is individual and it is difficult to give a clear answer based on such a short description.

If you have noticed significant changes in your menstrual cycle, I encourage you to consult your doctor. And if it is not possible to visit in person, I encourage you to take advantage of the teleconsultation via, for example, the Gdziepolek.pl portal:
