Flumycon inhibits the action of liver enzymes and may therefore increase the level of hormones in the blood and increase the risk of side effects. According to the information contained in the summary of product characteristics, this mechanism applies only to high doses of Flumycon, but it is difficult to assess whether any interactions occur at doses below 200 mg. If you are to take the maximum dose of Flumycon (200mg), it is worth asking your gynecologist about the need to discontinue hormones for the duration of the treatment. At lower doses, an additional form of contraception may be considered throughout treatment and until the end of the cycle (due to a change in the metabolism of the tablet by the liver).

Information contained in the summary of product characteristics of Flumycon:

"Two pharmacokinetic studies have been conducted on the use of multiple doses of fluconazole (Flumycon) concomitantly with combined oral contraceptives. No effect on any hormone levels was observed with fluconazole 50 mg, but 200 mg daily increased the bioavailability of ethinylestradiol and levonorgestrel by 40% and 24%, respectively."
