It is not recommended to use two methods of hormonal contraception at the same time. Indeed, in women weighing more than or equal to 90 kg, the effectiveness of the contraceptive patch may be impaired, therefore oral contraception is recommended in these patients. If your doctor has prescribed birth control pills, please follow the instructions. Concomitant use of patches is not justified and is inadvisable. If you take the first tablet from the blister on the first day of menstrual bleeding, contraceptive efficacy is ensured immediately. You can have intercourse without additional protection from the moment you start taking the pills.
