Spotting when using a vaginal disc - what could be the cause?
I have been using Nuvaring discs for many years. Two days ago (the disc is put on correctly, I should take it out in a week) I got spotting. Wonder I took out the disc, and noticed that it has one hole releasing hormone / instead of two. Could this be the reason for spotting - it has never happened before. What I should do.

In the Nuvaring Summary of Product Characteristics, the manufacturer provides information on the outer diameter and cross-section diameter of the disc. However, there is no information on the number and location of holes. It is not possible to comment on the issue contained in the wording of the question.
