The drug can be used at any time of the day, regardless of the meal. Naltex is intended for use in adults. Adjunct drug in comprehensive therapeutic management, including psychological advice for patients addicted to opioids and undergoing detoxification A drug supporting the maintenance of abstinence in the treatment of alcohol dependence. The recommended dose used to treat people with alcohol dependence, helpful in maintaining abstinence, is 50 mg per day (1 tablet). Taking doses higher than 150 mg per day is not recommended, as this may lead to an increased incidence of side effects. The dosing regimen may need to be adjusted to improve compliance with the 3-dose regimen per week: 2 tablets (=100 mg naltrexone hydrochloride) on Monday and Wednesday and 3 tablets (=150 mg naltrexone hydrochloride) on Friday. If this is the doctor's indication, there are no contraindications to combining Naltex with Relanium. It should be borne in mind that this combination increases the risk of side effects, e.g. drowsiness, dizziness, concentration disorders.
