Taking doses higher than 150 mg per day is not recommended, as this may lead to an increased incidence of side effects. The dosing regimen may need to be adjusted to improve compliance with the 3-dose regimen per week: 2 tablets (=100 mg naltrexone hydrochloride) on Monday and Wednesday and 3 tablets (=150 mg naltrexone hydrochloride) on Friday. If this is the doctor's indication, there are no contraindications to combining Naltex with Relanium.
