Hello, I have just started the second blister pack of Vines tablets. The thing is that I usually take them in the evening (around 22). This time I took the pill around 11 pm. More than an hour later, I had sex with my partner. Is the effect of the tablet, despite late admission, preserved? However, should we have used additional contraception for the next 7 days? Thank you in advance for your reply.

The time of use of the drug should be the same. However, if you constantly use the drug at 10 p.m., if you take the medicine up to 12 hours later (according to the leaflet), i.e. until 10 a.m., the contraceptive protection is maintained. The duration of intercourse does not affect the effectiveness of hormonal contraception.
I understand that in this case it does not matter that the day of taking the tablet was coming to an end? Does the time of intercourse also matter? Should the time of taking the pills before and after withdrawal bleeding be the same?

A single 1-hour delay in taking a tablet during week 1 of Vines does not affect the effectiveness of hormonal contraception. The next tablets should be taken at the same time and there is no need for an additional method of contraception. I enclose a link to check the availability of Vines and make a reservation at the pharmacy of your choice: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/81748/vines-tabletki-powlekane/apteki I encourage you to read our study on how to use contraception correctly: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-prawidlowo-stosowac-antykoncepcje
