I have been taking Atywia Daily contraceptive pills for half a year, inside the 5th blister I got a period that lasts already 7 days, it is not abundant but during these days my stomach and lower back hurt. Should this be the case? This is my first contraception and I'm a little nervous that there might be something wrong.

At the beginning of the use of Atywia Daily contraceptive pills, irregular spotting and bleeding may occur. If irregular bleeding (outside the period of placebo tablets) occurs after 3 months of using the drug or after a period of regular bleeding, it is recommended to consult a gynecologist. You can also use the teleadvice offered m.in by the Gdziepolek.pl portal: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja/z-ginekologiem The occurrence of irregular bleeding is an adverse reaction of the drug. It does not affect the contraceptive effectiveness of the preparation. I encourage you to report the occurrence of side effects. Reporting adverse reactions allows you to increase control over medicines available on the market. More about how and why to report side effects of drugs, we wrote in the article: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-i-dlaczego-zglaszac-dzialania-niepozadane I enclose a link to check the availability of Atywia Daily and make a reservation at the selected pharmacy: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/92353/atywia-daily-tabletki-powlekane/apteki I encourage you to read additional materials that may be useful: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-prawidlowo-stosowac-antykoncepcje https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/antykoncepcja-hormonalna
