The type of contraceptive pills used does not determine the type of pills used as emergency contraception. All tablets used as postcoital (emergency) contraception are available only with a prescription and their use should be decided by a specialist: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja/z-ginekologiem There are 2 types of hormonal preparations available on the Polish market used as emergency contraception. One of the most important criteria for choosing an emergency contraceptive method is the time that has passed since unprotected intercourse. Products containing levonorgestrel (eg Escapelle, Livopill) can be used up to 72 hours after intercourse, ulipristal acetate (eg EllaOne) can be taken within 120 hours after intercourse. You can learn more about emergency contraception from the material:

Below is a link that allows you to track availability, on-line booking and pick up the above-mentioned preparations at the pharmacy upon presentation of the prescription: - https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/27577/escapelle-tabletki/apteki, - https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/119238/livopill-tabletki/apteki, - https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/87820/ellaone-tabletki/apteki.
