I have been taking VIXPO contraceptive pills for 8 days, the period has always lasted from 5-6 days but now it is already 9 days - is this normal or should I be worried?

Hormonal contraception, especially during the first 3-4 months of use, can cause a change in the regularity of the menstrual cycle, which is manifested, m.in by irregular bleeding, mid-cycle spotting or prolonged menstruation. There is also no withdrawal bleeding when using birth control pills. If the tablets are taken correctly, as recommended by the manufacturer, there is no reason to worry about, for example, lack of effectiveness. The cycle should normalize spontaneously, while any additional ailments such as temperature increase or unusual pains should be assessed by the doctor. If the cycle disorders persist for more than 4 months, it is worth reporting for additional tests.
