How long do the side effects of slow-release Zomiren Sr disappear? For two weeks, I took 50 mg of slow-release zomyrene Sr daily. I discontinued the drug after 2 weeks as recommended by the doctor. For several days, however, the dreams have returned tension, morning sickness, sleep problems and headaches. I have also been using Asertin 50 mg for over 2 weeks, but I do not see a general mental improvement yet. Is it possible that these symptoms returned by stopping Zomiren?

The half-life for Zomiren SR is 12 - 15 hours. For the elderly, a 16-hour half-life is given. This means that after about 80 hours (more than 3 days) clinically insignificant drug residues remain in the body. Any withdrawal symptoms should disappear after a few days of discontinuation of therapy. Improvement of well-being occurs only after a few weeks from the start of regular therapy. If you think that the effect of the drug is too weak, I encourage you to consult a doctor.
