When does the protection of birth control pills return after taking ellaOne?

I'm taking birth control pills, but I had to take ellaOne. According to the leaflet, I should protect myself with an additional method until the next cycle, due to the reduction in effectiveness. Does this mean that from the new blister I am already protected normally? I took ellaOne at the beginning of the current blister, about 4 days after the start so I do not know if I should wait extra 4 days after bleeding? I will be very grateful for your help!
