How is esophageal dyskinesia treated?

Are there drugs for esophageal dyskinesia available in pharmacies in Poland? If so, under what name? How can it be treated?

To @Michalina: As I mentioned, the cause may be, m.in, inflammation, including collagenose. In case of allergies, swelling of the mucous membranes may occur, which also favors esophageal dyskinesia. If inflammation is the cause, steroids – including e.g. Encorton – may be helpful. In the event that the underlying cause is an allergy, taking antiallergic drugs can relieve symptoms. As I informed in previous entries, you should start by treating the cause of the problem. You can also perform allergy tests or tests for food intolerances. Nevertheless, the order of diagnostic tests is carried out by a doctor, the pharmacist has no competence in this area. If you have further doubts, it is worth talking to your doctor. Thank you for your reply. Of the diseases you mentioned, all have been excluded. Can esophageal dyskinesia also arise from diseases such as postprandial hypoglycemia, a group of connective tissue diseases called collagenesis or food allergy? If so, as in this case, can esophageal dyskinesia be treated? Taking e.g. medication for food allergy? Can dyskinesia of the esophagus be cured? What research is still worth doing in your opinion? I already take drugs such as Zirid, but it does not help - the food content is still in the esophagus. Could a medicine like Entocort help with this condition?

As she mentioned earlier, dyskinesia can be a consequence of some disease, e.g. inflammation, goiter in the course of thyroid disease, diseases of the nervous system, etc., which is why I recommended expanding the diagnosis to find the cause of dyskinesia. The only drugs that come to my mind that could relieve dyskinesia are preparations that improve gastrointestinal motility, which I mentioned in the previous entry are available on prescription. Drugs improving peristalsis are available only on prescription, e.g. https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/64348/prokit-tabletki-powlekane/apteki https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/86207/zirid-tabletki-powlekane/apteki https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/31968/gasprid-tabletki/apteki

The diagnostics have already been performed. On the basis of the conducted research, it was determined that the cause of food retention and retention in the esophagus is esophageal dyskinesia. As a result of the tests, gastroesophageal reflux was excluded, therefore, in the doctor's opinion, no drugs for reflux, e.g. PPIs, Famogast, etc., help me. I don't have heartburn, I don't bake, I don't eat back, I don't have reflux. As I mentioned in the research, he was diagnosed with esophageal dyskinesia. So please let me know what kind of disease it is? What are its causes, I mean the causes of this disease in general? Are there any other drugs besides reflux medications? If so, which ones? How can it be treated?

I am afraid that in the first place we should expand the diagnosis and start by treating the cause of the problem. Hence, a friend recommended a visit to a gastroenterologist. Medicines available in a pharmacy without a prescription can only fight the symptoms of the disease, e.g. reflux, burning sensation, but do not treat the causes and ailments may recur. I enclose links to pages where you will find examples of drugs to combat heartburn or reflux and you can order the drug with home delivery or collection at the pharmacy: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/19739/controloc-control-tabletki/apteki https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/63084/polprazol-max-kapsulki/apteki https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/3972/alugastrin-zawiesina/apteki https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/87162/aboca-neo-bianacid-tabletki-do-ssania-gryzienia-zucia/apteki More here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/zgaga Drugs improving peristalsis are only available on prescription, e.g. https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/64348/prokit-tabletki-powlekane/apteki https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/86207/zirid-tabletki-powlekane/apteki https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/31968/gasprid-tabletki/apteki If the waiting time for a visit to the doctor is too long, here you can use the teleadvice: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja

Thank you for the information. Yes, of course, the treatment of this disease is dealt with by a gastroenterologist. PPI reflux drugs do not help at all. I am waiting for an appointment with a gastroenterologist, but this one is only in about 4 months. The ailment is very troublesome, food stops and stays in my esophagus. This causes my body weight to drop, I can't function normally. Can you write me something more what kind of disease it is? Can it be cured? What are its causes? What recommendations would you give me to somehow manage until the visit to the gastroenterologist?

Treatment of esophageal dyskinesia is carried out by a specialist gastroenterologist. In treatment, m.in drugs recommended for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease are used. This ailment can not be treated "on their own".

User questions and answers that provide feedback about products are not verified for the purchase or use of the product. Companies often order anonymous comments to form positive opinions about their products, or negative ones about competitors. Therefore, be guided by the information in the pharmacists' responses in the first place.
