Good morning So far I have been taking Emanere 40mg but I ran out of medicine and I have Pantoprazole Teva. I have never taken anything else for reflux except Emanera and I am a little afraid to take this drug. Can I take this medicine safely? I am afraid of anaphylaxis, although I am not allergic.

Emanera and Pantoprazole Teva belong to the same group of medicines called proton pump inhibitors - they work by reducing the secretion of hydrochloric acid by the stomach. Any medicine can cause side effects, but not everybody gets them. In your case, the switch concerns a drug from the same therapeutic group - there is a chance that the new drug will be effective.
