Is it worth taking antidepressants and going to a psychotherapist at the same time?

Should I go to psychotherapy even though I don't have the strength to work on myself because of depression? I wanted to go to a psychotherapist only when I was on drugs that would work for me, but before they start to work, maybe a few months will pass, is it worth waiting so long to start psychotherapy?

Combined therapy including psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy is considered the most beneficial method of treating depression for the patient. Therefore, it is not worth delaying the start of psychotherapy. As for the effect of antidepressants, the first effects can be noticed after about 2 weeks. However, this is a very individual matter. You can read about how to recognize and treat depression in the text: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/depresja Below is a link to a page that allows you to make an appointment for a 30-minute consultation with a psychologist. Perhaps you will find this helpful. https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja
