Good morning, with a partner we are planning a year-long trip around Africa. A specialist in travel medicine and tropical diseases completed our expedition first aid kit, including, m.in. malarone, antibiotics, drugs for worms, tramadol, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory, adrenaline. When transporting medicines across borders, do I have to keep paper packaging of medicines (in the sense of a box)?

Each country may have its own restrictions on the possession and carriage of medicines and documentation on their use. It is best to find out directly at the embassy, local offices or the carrier. From a pharmaceutical point of view, outer packaging provides additional protection for medicines, facilitates their identification and can document their originality. So I see no reason to get rid of them.
