How long to use the treatment for H.Pylori?
Hello, I have another question, earlier I asked about the combination of individual drugs but I did not ask about the duration of treatment, namely the eradication of helikobakter pylori. The prescribed drugs are: amotaxi 1g, metronidazole 500mg, ulcamed 120mg, helicide 40mg, enterol 250mg. And here the most important question, do I stop everything after 14 days? despite the fact that, for example, amotaxi is not over yet? I ask because I do not remember for what time the doctor recommended the treatment

Eradication of H.Pylori is a long-term process. It is recommended to continue using proton pump inhibitors (Helicid) and probiotic (Enterol) for a longer time - about a month. Ulcamed is usually used from 7 to 14 days - the duration of treatment depends m.in. on the patient's reaction to the drugs and is at the discretion of the doctor Antibiotic or you can choose until the end of the package. Nevertheless, I recommend that you contact your doctor and clarify the time of therapy.
