According to the information contained in the leaflet, if the disc was put on the first day of menstruation, it works from the moment of insertion and there is no need for additional methods of contraception. It is worth remembering that no method of contraception gives 100% certainty (however, in the case of proper use of hormonal contraception, the risk of getting pregnant is very small).
