Good morning, I stopped taking birth control pills last month. This month, on the day of my planned menstruation (after 28 days), I took 1 contraceptive pill but I did not get bleeding. Can this action have negative consequences? Should I continue taking the pills or stop taking them and wait for 1 day of bleeding?

Protection is maintained from the first day only if you start using the tablets on the first day of menstrual bleeding. If you have started a new blister on the day of your planned menstrual period - this is any day of the cycle - because it is not the first day of the cycle, protection will not be provided immediately. You can continue to take tablets from this blister, however, in parallel, additional protection in the form of a condom should be used. In the next cycle, protection will already be provided and you can give up the condom. If during the break from using the tablets there was intercourse, it is worth performing a pregnancy test that you will buy at the pharmacy.
