If I have stomach ulcers, should I contact a gynecologist to change the form of contraception from pills to one that does not meet the digestive system? Should I completely stop taking Drovelis during ulcer treatment? I will add that it is 3 months of using hormonal contraception in the form of tablets.

Stomach ulcers themselves are not a contraindication to the use of Drovelis tablets. However, the problem arises when the disease is accompanied by gastrointestinal disorders such as vomiting and diarrhea - then, if they occur within 3-4 hours of taking the tablet, they may interfere with its absorption and reduce the effectiveness of contraception. In addition, the use of certain medications taken to treat stomach ulcers may reduce the effectiveness of oral contraception. Therefore, if you feel the above symptoms or use drugs that may weaken the effectiveness of contraception, e.g. antibiotics, drugs affecting gastrointestinal motility - then you can consult a doctor and consider changing the contraceptive, e.g. to patches or vaginal disc.
