Should I start with a specific tablet from the Axia blister and when will I be protected if I started using the pills on the 5th day of the cycle?

Hello, I will start using Axia tablets from the 5th day of the cycle, this is due to the fact that my menstruation is very irregular and only today I got a prescription. My question is, should I start with a particular pill? This is my first time when it comes to taking pills. And the next question is when can you start having sex in such a situation without other additional safeguards?

Since each tablet in the Axia blister contains the same amount of hormones - it does not matter from which tablet you start using the drug. The marking on the packaging is only to make it easier to take the tablets and prevent the tablet from being missed. It is important to use the tablet every day, at about the same time of day for 21 consecutive days. Then take a 7-day break and after 7 days start another package. Because you took the first tablet from the first pack on a different day than the first day of menstruation, the protection will not be maintained immediately. Protection will be provided only when using tablets from the second package - with the first one, additional protection in the form of a condom should be used.
