Vibin tablets, and diarrhea. Good morning last night I took 8 tablets from the blister, after taking it I got diarrhea, so I took a tablet from an additional blister. Then for about 6 hours everything was fine so I assume that the tablet was absorbed. Today, however, I have had acute diarrhea since the morning, does it affect the effectiveness of contraception? Do I have to protect myself for the duration of diarrhea or some time after its completion? What antidiarrheal medications can I take so that they do not interfere with contraception?

If for 6 hours after taking an additional tablet diarrhea did not occur diarrhea - the tablet has already managed to absorb and worked properly. If today diarrhea occurs again within 3-4 hours after taking the tablet - then the protection may be reduced and another additional tablet should be taken. If diarrhea does not occur within 3-4 hours after taking today's tablet - there is no reason to worry - protection is preserved. The very occurrence of diarrhea does not affect the effectiveness of contraception, but the time up to 3-4 hours after taking the tablet is important - if during this time there are numerous, loose bowel movements - the protection may have been reduced and it is necessary to take additional steps, i.e. take an additional tablet.
