Will alcohol and 1.5 delay reduce effectiveness? I took the first tablet from the new blister at 23.01 and my fixed time is 21:30. In addition, from 7 p.m. to 10:40 p.m., I had drinks. Of course, I washed down the tablet with water. At 11:30 p.m., I drank some beer. After drinking alcohol, however, I did not vomit somehow at 10 o'clock in the morning of the next day I distinguished myself, but it was a smooth bowel movement. Does the described situation affect the reduction of effectiveness?

In the described situation, the contraceptive effectiveness of Orlifique tablets is preserved. Orlifique tablets should be used every day, at the same time - e.g. always in the evening. However, it is not necessary to observe the time of their application equally as to a specific time. Thus, a 1.5-hour delay does not affect the effectiveness of therapy. Alcohol alone does not reduce the effectiveness of contraception. Since vomiting or diarrhea did not occur within 3-4 hours of taking the tablet - protection is preserved. Loose stool after many hours after taking the tablet does not affect its effectiveness. At 10 a.m., the drug had long since been absorbed into the general circulation, and even if diarrhea occurred at that time - it does not matter for the effectiveness of contraception.
